Ceremonies for every chapter
💍 Wedding Ceremonies
Your wedding ceremony is the moment your special day is built around. I'll work with you to craft something that sounds authentic to you both, whatever your vibe. Traditional, funny, tender, quirky, surprising, or all of these woven together. Entirely bespoke, entirely and unapologetically yours.
From the initial conversation to the moment I stand before your guests, I'm with you every step of the way. We'll cover how you met, what your relationship is built on, your shared life goals and what you want the people you love to feel as they witness your ceremony. Then I'll bring all those elements together with my carefully-chosen words, each one selected to do you proud as a couple.
A note on legalities: a celebrant ceremony in England and Wales is not currently legally binding in its own right. You'll need to register your marriage separately, usually a straightforward appointment at your local register office beforehand. I'll guide you through exactly what's involved. Then we’re free to get as creative and personalised as you wish when creating the ceremony you’ve always dreamed of.
Based in Carshalton, I travel throughout Surrey, South London, Hampshire, Berkshire and West Sussex and beyond for the right ceremony.
🌿 Funerals & Celebrations of Life
Saying goodbye to someone you love is one of the hardest things you’ll ever do. The ceremony marking their passing should be worthy of who they were, not a template or impersonal recitation of dates and achievements. A true reflection of the person: their warmth, humour, weird and wonderful quirks, how they navigated the world and what they’ll be most remembered for.
As your funeral celebrant, I'll come to you. I'll listen to all the stories, memories and details you’re willing to share. I’ll sensitively ask questions, to understand as much as possible about your loved one, while being attuned to your grief and when you need space. Then I'll weave everything I've learnt together into a ceremony that honours them fully, holds space for your emotion and gives everyone present loving memories to hold onto.
As a funeral celebrant serving Surrey, South London and beyond, I'm here to comfort and support you and your family throughout this incredibly difficult time. Whether you're planning a traditional funeral service, a celebration of life, a memorial, or something that doesn't fit a category, I’d be honoured to help you shape what feels right.
How it works
I'll reach out or meet with you as soon as you're ready and in whichever way you’re most comfortable. There’s no pressure or fixed timeline I'll impose on you. We'll talk about your person and I'll ask questions that help me build a picture of who they truly were. I'll then write the service ceremony and share it with you for your thoughts, making any changes until it feels right. If needed, I’ll assist family members in choosing readings and poems they’d like to dedicate, or even find their own words to share about their loved one. On the day, I'll arrive early and make sure everything flows as intended, while confidently holding the room and using every word to convey the love and meaning it should.
Working with funeral directors
I work alongside funeral directors throughout Surrey, South London and beyond. If you're looking for a funeral celebrant in Surrey, you're welcome to request me directly, families have every right to choose their own celebrant.
🌸 Naming Ceremonies
Welcome your little one into the world with a ceremony full of warmth, radiant love and joy. A naming day is a beautiful way to celebrate, whether you're non-religious, spiritual, agnostic, or somewhere in between.
We'll gather the people who matter most, make promises to your child and create a shared moment they'll one day be told about and treasure. You choose the tone, the readings, the promises, the people involved. I'll bring it all to life.
These important celebrations work for every kind of family. For families welcoming fostered, adopted and chosen children or young people of all ages into their hearts and lives; together, we’ll create something beautiful and fitting to honour your love.
